Not only is it a wonderful collectors item, but is also a useful tool for amateurs and professionals alike. This is just a beautiful set, in perfect working condition, lovingly and respectfully taken care of for almost 70 years. Auction includes everything in the photos. I'm not a scientist, so I don't know anything other than that! Also includes a full bottle of Zeiss oil, and a couple of accessories that I have no idea what they are (see photos) sorry! :-) Made in Germany and brought to the States by a physicist who was a Lt Colonel in the army. Also includes two blue (one large, one smaller) and one frosted filter. Case is marked 6L Eyepieces included are 5x and 8x, both marked Ernst Leitz Wetzler. One marked "1/12 Oel Ernst Leitz Wetzler" and A=1,30 100:1" as well as the serial number, 201954 One marked "A=0,65 45:1" and "6L E.Leitz Wetzler". Included are: One marked "3 A=0,25 10:1" and "E. The objectives all come in their own original cases which are all marked Germany on the bottom. Original instruction booklet is also included. It may be a little dusty, but it is in mint condition, all of the accessories are in mint condition, case is solid wood (Oak, I think), lenses, eyepieces are clear with no scratches, the whole set is just in pristine condition. This auction is for one 1938 Earnst Leitz Wetzlar professional quality microscope.
